Operation Sindoor: Reliance Jio shares a 'Pride message'
Reliance Jio shared a proud post on India's Operation Sindoor. "The only Airplane Mode that gives us goosebumps. 🇮🇳 ✈️🫡 Purpose. Precision. Pride. #OperationSindoor," reads a post from Reliance Jio's official social media account on Twitter. The post is accompanied by emojis of a plane and Saluting face. In the wee hours of May 7, the Ministry of Defence, announced Indian Armed Forces conducting Operation Sindoor."A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed. Altogether, nine (9) sites have been targeted," read the statement from the Ministry of Defence.

Through Operation Sindoor, India used its ‘Right to Respond’: Rajnath Singh

Later in the day, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, said, “Through Operation Sindoor, India has used its ‘Right to Respond’ to the attack on its soil, and the Armed Forces scripted history by acting with precision, precaution & compassion to destroy the camps used to train terrorists in Pakistan and PoK.” The minister made the statement while addressing the 66th Raising Day event of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) at Manekshaw Centre in Delhi.“The whole world has witnessed what our Armed Forces have done today. The action was carried out very thoughtfully and in a measured manner. It was limited only to the camps and other infrastructure used for training terrorists, with the aim of breaking their morale. I congratulate the Armed Forces on behalf of the whole country. I also congratulate Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for providing complete support to the forces,” added Rajnath Singh.

Reliance Jio added 21.4 lakh subscriber in March 2025

In a release the telecom regulator TRAI announced that Reliance Jio made an addition of about 2.17 million new subscribers out of 2.93 million for the entire industry in the month of March 2025. As per TRAI's data, Reliance Jio's addition of 21.74 lakh wireless users during the month pushed up its subscriber count to 46.97 crore. For Bharti Airtel, the mobile base expanded to 38.98 crore, with addition of 12.50 lakh users in March.
