Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently responded to an X post praising the Tom Cruise-starring film Edge of Tomorrow. Cinema Tweets @CinemaTweets shared a post on X stating that “Edge of Tomorrow is the definition of ‘rewatchable’”. “I don’t know where this ranks within Tom Cruise’s filmography, but it’s definitely one of the more original films Cruise has ever made. Directed by Doug Liman, Edge of Tomorrow is a 2014 science fiction action film. Set in the near future, Earth is under attack by an alien race called the Mimics. Tom Cruise plays Major William Cage, a military officer with no combat experience who is forced into battle and quickly dies—only to wake up and relive the same day over and over again.

The film combines action, science fiction, and time-loop storytelling, and is based on the Japanese novel "All You Need Is Kill" by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.
