The Indian Army neutralised terror launch pads near the Line of Control in a coordinated fire assault during the night of May 8-9, in retaliation for Pakistan’s attempted drone strikes on several cities in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab. Taking to X, the ADG PI said the operation aimed to destroy the launch pads, reducing them to cinders and delivering a major blow to terrorist infrastructure and capabilities. They also mentioned that the assault was part of Operation Sindoor, launched early Wednesday, during which the Indian armed forces neutralised nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. “The terrorist launchpads, located close to the Line of Control, were a hub for planning and executing terror attacks against Indian civilians and security forces in the past. The Indian Army's swift and decisive action has dealt a significant blow to terrorist infrastructure and capabilities," the ADG PI said.
