Here is good news for film-lovers as more than 160 films from 57 countries are coming to the city as part of the 10th Chennai International Film Festival which is scheduled to be held from December 13 to 20.

Yesteryear actresses Sairu Banu and Shashikala will share the centrestage while receiving the Lifetime Achievement Awards at the inaugural ceremony of the 9th Pune International Film Festival (Piff) on January 6 at Ganesh Kala Krida Rangmanch.

The 28th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival is about to kick off in a few hours at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in the city of joy. Eminent Bollywood names like Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Shatrughan Sinha and Rani Mukerji are slated to attend the festival. Films from 42 countries will be screened at the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) that will be held between December 15 and 22 this year. While 1,078 films from 57 countries had applied, sources said 180 among them have been selected by the festival committee for screening.
