Marathi actor Sagar Karande was cheated out of more than Rs 61 lakh by cyber fraudsters. They promised money for liking Instagram videos and then asked him to invest larger sums for higher returns. Karande realized the fraud and lodged a complaint with the cyber police, leading to a case against three persons.
