Following the deaths of 15 animals and detection of equine influenza symptoms, authorities have isolated affected animals and initiated widespread screening and treatment.

President Droupadi Murmu has departed for Vatican City to attend Pope Francis's funeral, accompanied by Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and George Kurian, along with Goa's Deputy Speaker Joshua De Souza.
