A court in Delhi has charged former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh with sexual harassment and intimidation. Singh, who denies the charges, faces trial. Vinod Tomar, former WFI assistant secretary, was also charged. Singh, an MP, was dropped from BJP's candidate list for the upcoming elections.

Three women wrestlers accusing BJP's Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment claimed their security was withdrawn by Delhi Police. A court has directed the New Delhi DCP to ensure immediate security for one of the wrestlers who will testify. The DCP clarified the decision stating Haryana police would now handle their security measures.

Delhi Police urged the court to frame charges against former wrestling federation chief BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, accused of sexually harassing women wrestlers. The police argued that the incidents of alleged harassment, both within and outside India, were part of the same offense. The accused had justified his acts of touching the breasts of wrestlers as a fatherly gesture to check their breathing capacity. The court will have the next hearing on January 20. Delhi Police has filed a chargesheet against Singh under various sections of IPC.

A Delhi court is set to decide on April 26 whether to charge Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, former head of the Wrestling Federation of India and BJP MP, in a sexual harassment case involving six female wrestlers. Singh submitted an application for further investigation, claiming he was not in India on one incident date.

Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Friday gave the order against Brij Bhuhan in a case lodged by female wrestlers, observing there was 'sufficient evidence' against him. The court, however, discharged Singh in a complaint filed by one of the six women wrestlers, citing lack of sufficient evidence in the complaint.

BJP MP and former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Friday sought to be discharged in the sexual harassment case filed against him by women wrestlers, claiming delay in reporting the alleged offence and contradiction in the statements of the complainants.

When court of additional chief metropolitan magistrate priyanka rajpoot asked Singh whether he accepted his mistake and pleaded guilty, Singh replied, "Iska koi sawaal hi nahi. Galti kiya hi nahi (No question of pleading guilty. I haven't done anything wrong)." Co-accused Vinod Tomar, former WFI assistant secretary, also pleaded not guilty to the same offences. As a result of the two accused denying they had engaged in criminal activity, the matter will go to trial.

A Delhi court directed the city police on Thursday to immediately reinstate the security of a female wrestler who has accused former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment.

The Rouse Avenue Court on Friday ordered framing of charges on sexual harassment allegations levelled by several women wrestlers against former WFI Chief and BJP leader Brij Bhushan Singh and one other accused.
