Sarabjot Singh, a young athlete from Dheen village of Ambala, Haryana, found his passion in shooting at the age of 13.<br /><br />Sarabjot's interest was sparked during a summer camp where he saw kids using air guns at a makeshift range. Despite initial aspirations to become a footballer, the sight of aiming at paper targets with pistols stayed with him.<br /><br />In 2014, Sarabjot expressed his desire to pursue shooting to his father, Jitender Singh, a farmer.<br /><br />His father, understanding the financial implications of the sport, initially hesitated. However, Sarabjot's persistence paid off.<br /><br />Under the guidance of coach Abhishek Rana, Sarabjot honed his shooting skills. His hard work culminated in winning the Gold medal at the Junior World Championship in Suhl in 2019.<br /><br />Sarabjot's educational journey took place at DAV College in Chandigarh, with his family comprising his father, Jatinder Singh, and his mother, Hardeep Kaur, a homemaker.<br /><br />Today, Sarabjot Singh stands out as a significant figure in the shooting sports arena, exemplifying dedication and perseverance.<br /><br />Achievements<br /><br />Asian Games (2022) - Gold medal in team event & Silver medal in mixed team event<br />Asian Championship, Korea (2023) - Bronze medal in the 10m air pistol individual event<br />World Cup, Bhopal (2023) - Gold medal in the Individual event<br />World Cup, Baku, (2023) - Gold medal in mixed team event<br />Junior World Cup, Suhl (2022) - 1 Gold medal in team event & 2 Silver medals in individual & mixed team events<br />Junior World Championship, Lima (2021) - 2 Gold medals in team & mixed team events<meta content="cms.next" name="cmsei"/>
