Bengali television serial ‘Krishnakoli’, starring Tiyasha Roy in the titular role, will come to an end. The daily soap was launched in June 2018 and tasted success almost immediately.
A simple storyline revolving around village belle Shyama, a devotee of Lord Krishna and a talented Keertaniya who had to face stigma because of her dark skin tone, managed to strike a chord with the Bengali audience.

Actor Neel Bhattacharya, who is currently busy with TV show ‘Uma’ and giving ‘Krishnakoli’ a miss, has been paired opposite Tiyasha as the male lead. Debutante Tiyasha became a household name almost overnight riding the success of her very first daily soap. Her crackling reel chemistry with Nikhil aka Neel, became the USP of the show. It started casting its spell on TRP charts almost after launch and dominated the numero uno spot for a long time. Krishnakoli currently features Priyanka Halder, Ananya Guha, Rounak Dey Bhowmik, Adhiraj Ganguly, Soume Chatterjee, Nibedita Mukherjee, Rimjhim Mitra and many others.
The show has a strong cast and underwent a time leap. The makers kept adding frequent twists and turns in the storyline to spice up the entertainment quotient.
Meanwhile, Team ‘Krishnakoli’ is a bit emotional as their journey is finally coming to an end. The cast and crew have been attending shoot with a heavy heart even since they learned about the wrap up. They have been busy shooting for the climax scene.
Period-drama ‘Rani Rashmoni Uttarparba’ will replace Krishnakoli’s timeslot. Gourab Roy Chowdhury and Megha Daw starrer new show ‘Pilu’ will be aired at the evening slot on which ‘Rani Rashmoni Uttarparba’ is being aired until now.
