I'm grateful to have such finest actors as my co-stars: Koushik Roy

Actor Koushik Roy, who was previously seen in Phagun Bou playing a rock-star, is looking forward to his next project ‘Khorkuto’. He will pair opposite actress Trina Saha in the upcoming TV show. The show will star seasoned actors like Dulal Lahiri, Chandan Sen, Anushree Das, Ratna Ghoshal, Ambarish Bhattacharya and Sohini Sengupta.
Speaking about his character 'Soujonya', Koushik said, “Soujanya is a scholar and a man of steadfast principles.Soujanya is well educated but he never wanted to have a lucrative job. He rather enjoys social work.”
The upcoming serial will narrate the story of bonding, principles and love among the family members who are always together. “Soujanya belongs to a middle-class joint family. He has grown up with certain values which he has imbibed from a closely knitted family. I have seen such a family in my personal life, too. It is just like my mamabari. Now that I am playing Soujanya, all the memories are coming back,” he shared.
Soujanya lives with his aunt, uncles, sister and other family members. There are certain rules in the family and the members abide by those. Soujanya’s life witnesses a sea-change when he meets Gungun (played by Trina), who is just opposite him. Gungun is from a rich family and she loves to live her life to the fullest. The team has started shooting.
Speaking about the experience, Koushik said, “We have already started shooting and it is an amazing experience. I am grateful to have the finest actors as my co-stars. It will be truly a learning experience for me.”
