Indrani Halder and Ushasie Chakraborty to team up for an OTT project?

After a successful inning in TV show ‘Sreemoyee’, artists Indrani Halder and Ushasie Chakraborty, are likely to team up for a new project. Industry sources suggest that popular artists will feature in an OTT project. While Indrani has yet another OTT project in her kitty, it will be Ushasie’s first web series. The latest news also suggests that Indranil Roy Chowdhury is going to direct the upcoming series.Talks are still on and the project is in its initial phase.
Bengali TV’s one of the most popular shows ‘Sreemoyee’, which concluded its journey on the small screen in December, 2021, featured Indrani and Ushasie as arch-nemesis. June Guha, the reel character played by Ushasie, was one of the constant reasons behind protagonist Sreemoyee’s misery. June Guha’s typical antics, mannerisms, and dialogues were not only hugely popular but also a crowd puller. June-Sreemoyee’s face-off never failed to take the drama a notch higher. Their chemistry as arch-rivals simply spiced up the story.
Ushasie is giving Bengali TV a miss for quite some time now. Frequent TV appearances and other commitments have kept the actress busy. Fans have been majorly missing their beloved ‘June Aunty’. Indrani, on the other hand, did a project which also stars Vikram Chatterjee and Madhumita Sarcar besides the OTT project she has in her kitty.
It will be indeed a treat for the audience to see the popular artists together yet again.
