Mimi Dutta plays a meaty role in web series ‘Indu 2’

Sahana Dutta is ready to take the audience on a roller coaster journey with the second season of ‘Indu’. While the web series will feature actress Ishaa Saha in the titular role, the project has a star cast that looks promising. Actors Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, Payel De, Manali Manisha Dey will play prominent roles in the show. Besides them, the makers have also roped in actress Mimi Dutta for a pivotal role.She will essay Poushali’s character, who is protagonist Indu’s sister-in-law. Poushali is a woman whose life revolves around her family but she doesn’t really like Indu. Since the very moment Indu steps into her in-laws’ place, she faces a lot of hurdles and Poushali’s constant opposition adds to her dismay. Mimi, who is mostly seen playing girl next door and adarsh bahu, will certainly surprise as Poushali whose character has interesting shades.
Abhimanyu Mukherjee is directing the web series which will narrate a murder mystery. Protagonist Indu, who gets married to a household that has deep secrets buried in its walls, will solve a murder case in which she becomes the prime suspect. Ishaa is playing Indu’s character.
Coming back to Mimi, the actress is a popular face on Bengali small screen and has been a part of many television shows. ‘Kache Aay Soi’, ‘Bhutu’, ‘Gopal Bhar’, ‘Joyee’ and many others. She was also a part of popular period-drama ‘Rani Rashmoni’ in which she essayed Jagadamba’s character after Roshni Bhattacharya left the show.
