'Ranur Protham Bhag' to be adapted for a TV serial
A new TV serial based on an adaptation of eminent writer Bibhutibhushan Mukhopadhyay’s ‘Ranur Protham Bhag’ is all set to entertain the viewers. The show will be a part of ‘Ek Masher Sahitya’ series.
Actors Gourishankar Panda, Subrata Chowdhury, Banhi Chakraborty, Arya Chandra and Soumi Prodhan will be seen in this upcoming show. Veteran actress Shakuntala Barua will also be seen essaying an important character in this serial.

Following the format of ‘Ek Masher Sahitya’ series, the serial will be aired for one month. The story of ‘Ranur Protham Bhag’ revolves around an innocent little girl Ranu who shares an emotional relationship with her uncle.
Little Ranu is full of life. Her uncle tries to teach her but the little girl is not ready to study. Rather she is busy doing all sorts of household chores. Whenever her uncle asks her to study, she comes up with innumerable reasons to skip it. As she turns 8 years old, her father decides to get Ranu married.
Director Debidas Bhattacharya will direct the show. The screenplay is provided by Somnath Roy.
