The small screen to big screen connect in Gujarati entertainment industry makes it a very interesting one. While many Gujarati actors are juggling between movies and Television simultaneously, there are certain actors who went on from the small screen to grabbing plum roles in Gujarati movies.

Jayaka Yagnik
Jayaka Yagnik became a household name with her stellar performance in the popular Gujarati TV show Narsinh Mehta, a show based on the life of the legendary poet and devotee Narsinh Mehta.Post the show, Jayaka went on to do many episodes of another super popular show Chhuta Chheda. The pretty lass now is getting a lot of lucrative Gujarati movie offers. The latest movie being Aapne To Dhirubhai where Jayaka played the lead.
Dimple Upadhaya
Dimple, who started her career with Gujarati theatre and TV shows, too got into mainstream Gujarati movies. While Dimple gingerly started her movie journey four years back after getting recognition for her role in the comedy show Sundarlal Sapna Walo, along with actor Ragi Jani.
Khyati Madhu
Sultry Khyati Madhu too chose the big screen post an anchoring stint on Gujarati Television. The actress is also doing a Hindi film titled The Closed Door apart from Gujarati films like Vishwasghat and Odhani.
Neha Mehta
Versatile Neha Mehta too before heading for a glorious stint in Mumbai showbiz with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma too made a swift transition from Gujarati TV to Gujarati movies. The Better Half protagonist was also known for her commendable performance in shows like Sau Dada Sasu Na and Sami Saanj Na Shamna.
