Kiku Sharda, aka Palak of 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' fame, has been remanded to 14-days in judicial custody for mimicking Dera Sacha Sauda chief
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
He was arrested under Sec 295 A of the IPC for 'deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings' and produced in the court of Kaithal chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Manjit Kaur.

"I'm a god-fearing man. It is my job to make people laugh. It wasn't my intention to hurt anyone, Why should I want to offend anyone? I'm really, really sorry, " the actor said in an interview to Times Now.
The actor also tweeted his apology and said the act wasn't intentional. The act was not planned as a spoof but was just a coincidence.
The Haryana police had booked Kiku Sharda in a case registered against him at Kaithal's city police station. The case was registered after Dera followers accused Sharda of showing their temporal head in bad light. Dera followers said that Kiku had performed an act on the lines of Gurmeet Ram Rahim's role in film MSG. Kiku was purportedly seen on the show dancing with girls and flaunting liquor bottles.
