Exclusive: After Maitree, Zaan Khan joins the cast of Vanshaj

Television show Vanshaj has been making a buzz with its unique storyline. The family drama has an interesting ensemble of cast. Now, ETimesTV has exclusively learnt that Zaan Khan has joined the cast of the show in a pivotal role.

After essaying a crucial cameo in Maitree, Zaan Khan will be portraying the character of Kartik in the upcoming family drama Vanshaj.
Kartik is a professional photographer who hails from Rishikesh. He shares a special bond with his childhood sweetheart and best friend, Yuvika (Anjali Tatrari).
Zaan's character, Kartik, is a progressive, simple man, but there is more to him than what meets the eye. He is a multilayered character who has other cards to play, which will add depth to the show's storyline.
Zaan Khan gives an insight into his character in Vanshaj, he says, “Kartik is a photographer by profession and is closest to Yuvika. He may seem simple and docile at first glance, but there is a lot more to him than meets the eye. His various shades and emotions make him a versatile yet very challenging character to portray. Kartik is different from the characters I have played in the past, and I am excited to take on the challenge of bringing his multilayered persona to life on screen."
Zaan was highly praised for his character Randheer Raizada in the pre-independence drama Kyun Utthey Dil Chhod Aaye opposite the young actress Gracy Goswami. Fans still trend the onscreen duo with the ship name 'AmDheer' and wish to bring them back.
