Actress Roop Durgapal, known for her memorable roles in Indian television, has recently made waves with her latest project—an ad film featuring none other than Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan. The actress, visibly thrilled, opened up about the experience in an exclusive conversation with Times of India TV.
“When I got this ad, it was a great opportunity,” Roop shared. “I was doing an ad after a very long time. When you do a commercial after very long time, then you are definitely looking for eyeballs and when that ad features someone like Kartik Aaryan, who is one of Bollywood’s reigning superstars, you don’t think twice. I said yes in the blink of a second. It felt like the best comeback into the ad space.”
Roop revealed that she was initially cast for a single ad, but her performance impressed the directors and the brand so much that she ended up doing a second one as well. “We were still shooting the first ad when the directors and the client appreciated the chemistry and performance so much, they decided to bring me on for another film. You’ll be seeing me again with Kartik in the next one.”

The ads, which are currently airing during the IPL matches, have already caught public attention. “The response has been overwhelming,” she said. “My social media is flooded with congratulatory messages.
For an actor, that kind of feedback is a mini trophy—it boosts your confidence and reaffirms your choices.”
Roop described her role in the ad as that of a news anchor. “It was a fun, quirky character—something along the lines of a news anchor breaking important headlines. It was a unique character and I loved doing it. The best part? My shoot wrapped up in less than an hour!”

The actress concluded by saying the entire experience has been a delightful surprise. “Though the ad launched a week ago, I only saw it today because things have been super hectic. But it’s a moment I’ll cherish for sure.”
