Nazeea Syed Hasan, who played the role of Karn’s wife Vrushali in Mahabharat, is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming film Tumko Meri Kasam. Excited about this new chapter in her career, she hopes to explore more opportunities in the film industry moving forward.
She shares, “This is my debut film, and I’m absolutely thrilled. I portray Renu, a professor whose life takes a dramatic turn when she learns that she cannot conceive. Being an emotional person, this news shatters her, making her life incredibly difficult.”
Tumko Meri Kasam is loosely inspired by the life of Dr Ajay Murdia, the visionary behind Indira IVF. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Anupam Kher, Adah Sharma, Meherzan Mazda, Ishwak Singh, and Esha Deol, alongside Nazeea. Reflecting on her experience working with Vikram Bhatt, Nazeea says, “I was quite nervous before starting the shoot, but when I met Vikram sir, I immediately felt at ease. He is a true professional who puts his heart and soul into his work. Collaborating with him has been an enriching experience for me.”
The actress, who has previously appeared in TV shows like Tulsi Dham Ke Laddu Gopal and Lockdown Ki Love Story, is eager to explore different entertainment mediums. She adds, “There was a time when movies and television were the primary platforms for entertainment, but with the rise of OTT, the industry has expanded significantly. As an actor, I’m always hungry for compelling roles and excited to explore all these platforms. If given the opportunity, I would love to portray Anu Aggarwal’s role in Aashiqui. Her character had a childlike innocence that I found captivating. I also admire Priyanka Chopra’s portrayal of Meghna Mathur in Fashion. When I watched the film, I was deeply impressed by her performance.”
Discussing her future plans, she adds, “I am pushing my limits as an actor and embracing new challenges. There are a couple of projects in the pipeline, but at this moment, I can’t reveal much.”
