Paras Madaan: I want to play a character with a disability or a historical figure

Actor Paras Madaan likes to play roles that are different to what he has done before. Currently seen in the show Pocket Mein Aasmaan, he has played all kinds of shades on TV shows like Qubool Hai, Nath, and Laado 2.
Paras says, “I've been fortunate to have played diverse roles, but I've always wanted to play a character with a disability or a historical figure. I think it would be a challenging and rewarding experience. While it's flattering to be offered similar roles, I believe it's essential to take risks and experiment with different characters. It helps keep the work exciting and prevents typecasting,” he says.
He adds that where comedy is concerned, better writing is needed. “Comedy is a challenging genre, and I think there's a lack of good comic writing. However, with the rise of digital platforms, there are more opportunities for comedians and actors to showcase their talent. But I haven't been offered any exciting comic role.”
Earlier in an interview with us, Paras shared how tough it is to wait for the next role after a show is over. He had said, "It can be incredibly tough for actors to wait for another show or role, especially when they have financial responsibilities, like running their household. The uncertainty of when the next project will come along can be stressful. However, I believe in constantly working on my craft and being persistent and patient."
