Was not sure if audience would accept a bald Yudhishthir: Amit Behl

Amit Behl talks about his new role on stage
Actor Amit Behl is excited about his new role, which is on stage. He plays Yudhishthir in Salim Arif's playPaansa, written by Gulzar.
Says Amit, “I have known Salim sir for almost two decades now. We have been wanting to work with each other, but were waiting for the right script and role. When he approached me to play Yudhishthir, I was initially quite sceptical and expressed my reservations.I was not sure whether the audience would accept a bald Yudishtir and whether I would be able to pull off the character. However, Salim sir was convinced that my face had a certain serene appearance, which was required for the role, since Yudishtir had a meditative glow on his face. The final look with costumes, makeup and body tattoos has been received extremely well by the audience.”
"It was quite a challenge to play the character, since the dialogues are a mix of Hindustani and Urdu," adds Amit.
