Film and television fraternity woke up today to another huge loss to its list of legends. Filmmaker
Basu Chatterjee bid adieu today (June 4) morning at the age of 93.
He passed away following age-related ailments, which he had endured for a prolonged period. His last rites were conducted in Santacruz, Mumbai, at around 2 pm.

Ashish Sharma took to social media and remembered the late filmmaker.
Mohsin shared two Insta stories where he wrote: Thank you for your cinema. The legend Basu Chatterjee. RIP Sir.
In another pic he shared the image of his much loved film Choti Si Baat and wrote: Most simplest best film ever made.

While the filmmaker is known for films like Choti Si Baat, Rajnigandha, Baaton Baaton Mein, Ek Ruka Hua Faisla, Chameli Ki Shaadi, Kamla Ki Maut, he had also done shows like Kakaji Kahin and Byomkesh Bakshi.
