Zaan Khan, who was last seen in Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai, is all set to join the cast of Iss Ishq Ka...Rabb Rakha. He will portray a successful singer in the show, which features Sonakshi Batra and Fahmaan Khan as the lead couple.
A source associated with the show shared, “We were looking for a powerful entry to move the narrative forward and add more excitement to the storyline. Zaan Khan fits the role perfectly as the other male lead. He will play a successful singer and a judge who helps Meghla (played by Sonakshi Batra) rise and shine in her singing journey.”
Zaan could not be reached for comment. The actor, who is best known for his role as Randheer Raizada in Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye, has also appeared in shows like Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, Naamkaran, Ishqbaaaz, Hamari Bahu Silk, and Maitree.
In a previous interview, while talking about his love for television, Zaan, who began his acting career with films, had shared, “I love working in television because it keeps me occupied. Mera ghar chalta hai usse. It’s essential for someone like me, who comes from a middle-class background, to have a stable income while trying for films on the side. TV aapko woh sab kuchh de deta hai jo shaayad paanch

na de paayein. It’s also the best medium to learn, grow, and shine. I can’t understand why people undermine or belittle television actors. We work 14 hours a day, 30 days a month, and deliver monologues. It’s no easy feat. Unlike films, we work non-stop and don’t get breaks between projects. We just need an opportunity to prove ourselves. When I get the chance to be part of a big film, I want people to recognise me as a hardworking TV actor who made it to the big screen.”
