KPAC Lalitha has passed away. The 75-year-old actress was under treatment for multiple health issues lately. She breathed her last at her son and actor
Sidharth Bharathan's residence at Thripunithura, Kochi.
KPAC Lalitha started her career as a theatre artist with the prestigious drama company, KPAC. Further, the versatile actress has done about 500 plus movies both in Malayalam and Tamil.
For the unversed, she is also the wife of the late Bharathan, the legendary Malayalam filmmaker.
Besides her movie stint, the actress was active in the Malayalam Television industry also. KPAC Lalitha became the favorite of the telly audience with her character Mayavathi Amma in the sitcom 'Thatteem Mutteem'. Her striking chemistry with on-screen mother-in-law,
Manju Pillai was much loved by the audience.
She also played a cameo in yet another sitcom, 'Chakkappazham'.
