Actor Samir Choughule mourns the demise of Lata Mangeshkar, says "I am speechless, didi had called me a few days ago and invited me to her home"

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away today Sunday (February 6) in Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. She was 92. The entire nation is mourning the demise of India's Nightingale and the actor and Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra fame Samir Choughule is in grief after learning the news. Samir reminisced the memories of Lata Didi and shared that he received a call from her a few days ago and she praised his comedy skills.

Samir wrote a heartfelt note addressing Lata Mangeshkar. Samir wrote, "Speechless ... Latadidi..you had called me a few days ago and told me that whenever the COVID19 crisis will get over, you would invite me to come to your house to meet you ... and today ??? .The swar Saraswati have orphaned her devotees...The voice that has given hope to the whole world has laughed for a few moments only because of our Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra... Didi ... Lata Mangeshkar was shifted to the ICU on January 8 after testing positive for COVID-19. She was hospitalised since then. Lata Mangeshkar was being treated for both pneumonia and COVID-19. According to the hospital sources, she showed signs of improvement too but yesterday, her condition deteriorated again.
