Amid Covid-19 spread and the 21-day lockdown, television channels have started TV reruns of popular shows to entertain the audience.

The lead actor of Swarajya Rakshak Sambhaji, Dr. Amol Kolhe who played the lead historical character 'Sambhaji' has confirmed the news.He took to his social media handle and wrote, "It was decided to re-launch the "Ramayan" series on television and many fans of Maharashtra demanded that the "Swarajya Rakshak Sambhaji" series have to be aired again. Very happy and satisfied with this demand. The fact that your artwork is indirectly compared to the artwork that you have been thinking of as a child has given you a different joy. To the unaware, the series showcases the inspirational journey of Marathi ruler Sambhaji Raje, who faced many ups & downs in life since his childhood. From losing his mother at the age of 2 to escaping from Agra with the help of his father Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Sambhaji grew up under the influence of his grandmother Jijabai. Post the death of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Sambhaji Raje fights for Swarajya.
Veteran actor Amol Kolhe played the character of Sambhaji Raje, Prajakta Gaikwad played Yesubai (The wife of Sambhaji Maharaj) whereas Shantanu Moghe essayed the character of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Besides, actress Pratiksha Lonkar played the role of Jijabai, mother of Chatrapati Maharaj. The show went off-air a few days back.
