Amid the rampant spread of Coronavirus, Nivedita Saraf, lead actress of Aggabai Sasubai, has reportedly tested COVID-19 positive and is under self-isolation.
A source from the sets confirmed to Etimes-TV that, "Nivedita is the only one who tested positive for coronavirus while the rest of the cast and crew on the sets tested negative. The actress is under home quarantine for the safer side.
Nivedita felt minor symptoms of coronavirus, so she decided to get a test done and unfortunately, it turned out to be positive. The star cast of the show including Girish Oak, Tejashri Pradhan, and
Ashutosh Patki's tests are negative. Also, Nivedita Joshi's husband-actor
Ashok Saraf has also tested COVID-19 negative. We are taking major precautions on the set but it's not in our hands, we all are trying our best to cope up with it as soon as possible."
Talking about the shooting, the sources added, "We are not shooting since 15th September and soon Nivedita will complete her quarantine period and join the shoot. She is not at all serious and is recovering quickly."
For the unversed, popular TV show Aai Mazi Kalubai cast and crew also tested positive for coronavirus a few days ago. Veteran actress Ashalata Wabgaokar also tested positive on the set and passed away yesterday (September 22).
Nivedita is currently winning hearts with her performance in Agga Bai Sasubai opposite Girish Oak, who is playing Abhijeet on-screen. The storyline of the show is unique. Ashutosh Patki is playing Soham and Tejashri Pradhan is playing Shubhra. Ravi Patwardhan can be seen as Aajoba.
