Karthika Deepam written update, July 22, 2019: Karthik hams Soundarya

In the latest episode of Karthika Deepam, Deepa, on her way to Soundarya’s place, meets the priest who performed rituals during her wedding with Karthik. She shares with him that Karthik is demanding a divorce. The priest learns that they are living separately for 8 years. He is afraid that the court will sanction divorce. This adds to Deepa’s worries.
Meanwhile, at home, Soundarya thinks that Karthik must have changed and that is why he has promised her medical treatment.But Karthik takes pills for her adding that he is going to reveal something. Soundarya anticipates some good news from him and takes the pills.
Karthik then discloses that he has sent divorce notices to Deepa. Soundarya gets devastated. She worries about Deepa. Karthik says that divorce was the only way he found to stop Deepa from ruining his relationship with her (Soundarya) and Hima.
Soundarya bursts into tears thinking about Deepa. Karthik emotionally seeks a promise from Soundarya demanding her not to support Deepa in this regard. He further threatens to commit suicide if she breaks her promise. Soundarya feels hopeless and helpless.
She later updates Anand Rao about the same. He calls up his legal advisor and asks him the legal options available to stop divorce. Anand Rao is disappointed to learn that there is not much help. Soundarya collapses as she learns this update from Anand Rao. As Adithya and Anand Rao carry her inside, they notice Deepa lying at the doorsteps.
