‘Neethone Dance’ judge Renu Desai is all set for the release of a new poetry book in January, 2018.
Talking to a popular web portal, the model turned actress turned television personality revealed that her book will feature 52 poems, all penned by the star, and will touch topics of love, philosophy and social issues. During the conversation with the portal, the star also revealed that she likes to sign off the poems she posts on her social media as ‘Ray Nu’ because she does not like the spelling of her name.

However, her book will reportedly not contain poems that have been revealed on her social media and will instead be brand new ones. The title of the book is also a surprise that has not been revealed yet. When asked what inspires her to write poetry, the actress stated that she always wanted to be recognised as a director or writer, but somewhere down the lane, she had begun writing for herself.
Renu Desai however does not believe that she should be called a poet, as she is not yet there, she believes. It was the praise she has received on social media that has encouraged her to publish her work. When asked if the poetry she writes reflect her personal life, Renu Desai stated, “Discuss the poem, not the poet,” and refused to admit they have anything to do with whatever she was going through personally. When asked to describe her upcoming book, she said, “I wrote for my soul and wrote from my soul.”
Previously, when Times of India had spoken to the star to discuss her poetry, Renu Desai had revealed that she had started off with short stories after her daughter Akira was born and her ex-husband Pawan Kalyan had encouraged her to continue to write. She also revealed that Pawan Kalyan had been her first reader.
