Mukesh Khanna clarifies after getting criticised for his #MeToo remark

After facing the wrath of netizens on social media for saying that the Me Too movement began when women started stepping out for work, 'Mahabharat' actor Mukesh Khanna has now issued a statement clarifying his stand. The actor wrote, 'I am surprised that my statement has been perceived in an extremely wrong way, and is being looked at in a totally flawed context'. He further added that the whole thing has been blown out of proportion, and it's being said that he is against women. He clarified that he never said women shouldn't work and that he was just telling how #MeToo gained momentum. Khanna also apologized and said, 'If any woman has been hurt by this statement, I am sorry that I could not put my point correctly. I am not worried that the female community will turn against me'.
