It's almost time to touch those stones and teleport into the 18th century Highlands this summer.
Fans of the time-travelling Outlander series can mark their calendars as Starz has officially announced that the highly anticipated prequel series, Outlander: Blood of My Blood, will premiere on August 8, 2025.
Following its debut, new episodes will drop weekly on Fridays, promising a fresh yet familiar romantic journey through time and history.
While Outlander, which began in 2014 is set to conclude with its eighth season, Blood of My Blood dives into the untold origin stories of key characters - Julia Moriston (
Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (
Jeremy Irvine), and Ellen MacKenzie (
Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy)—the parents of Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser, respectively.
Rather than a continuation, the new series offers an intimate look at the lives and loves that paved the way for Claire and Jamie's iconic romance.

According to the official logline, the series “brings viewers from the war-torn battlefields of WWI to the sweeping Highlands of 18th-century Scotland,” weaving together two love stories rooted in loyalty, passion, and defiance.

The series was officially greenlit in January 2023.
