Priyanka Chopra Jonas compared to James Bond by the Russo brothers in upcoming web series, Citadel

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is on a roll with her latest role in the web series Citadel. The show has been helmed by the Russo brothers, who are all praise for Priyanka’s work in the web series and have said that she is akin to James Bond.
They said she is very gifted and have praised her ability to lead the action in the show.
Citadel will debut on Amazon Video on April 28, and has Priyanka Chopra playing the lead in this action-packed spy thriller, which also stars Stanley Tucci, Lesley Manville and Richard Madden.The Russo brothers recently claimed that it is a response to James Bond films and have lauded Priyanka for what she brought to the character.
According to a trailer released last Thursday, Richard Madden's Mason and Priyanka Chopra's Nadia are recalled to the agency to work together. They have a natural chemistry with each other and struggle to keep their professional and personal lives separate, as they have a shared attraction for each other.
The two undercover operatives have no memory of their previous careers as spies since their memories were destroyed after a disaster that took place years ago. Mason admits that despite his inability to recall many details about his profession, he hasn't forgotten about Nadia.
In an interview to Total Film Magazine, Joe Russo remarked that though he and his brother are "immense fans of Bond," their job as filmmakers is to take the essence of such characters, then "figure out ways to push them into spaces and places that surprise us”.
So, the characters in Citadel are not newer versions of Bond but give a fresh creative take on the British secret agent -- one that will hit the mark with their web series.
Priyanka will also appear in Love Again, along with Sam Heughan and Celine Dion, a film releasing on May 12.
