Good news for Squid Game fans! Season 3 is coming soon. Just a month after Season 2 premiered on December 26, 2024, Netflix has officially announced the release date for the next season. Squid Game Season 3 will premiere on June 27, 2025.
Season 3 was filmed right after Season 2, reducing the wait time for fans. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk revealed that this season will take the story in a completely new direction and will be the final chapter of the main storyline.

At the start of January, Netflix unveiled a teaser poster for the third season of the popular series, featuring the caption: "YOUNG-HEE & CHUL-SU. SEASON 3, COMING 2025. ONLY ON NETFLIX."

Series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk recently shared details about Season 3, revealing that the protagonist, Seong Gi-hun, will experience a dramatic transformation.
He explained, "Gi-hun has lost everything, including his best friend, and all his attempts have ended in failure. Now, what will he do? What state will he be in? Will he continue his mission, or will he give up? You'll meet Gi-hun at a critical crossroads as we begin the third season—he will not be the same man from Season 2."

The second season of the popular Korean thriller shattered records, amassing 68 million views within just four days, making it Netflix's most successful TV premiere. With a total of 152.5 million views, it now ranks as the third most-watched season on the platform, creating huge anticipation for the next installment.
