Shivani Raghuvanshi, and Yashpal Sharma, the story unfolds in Dhadakpur, a town celebrating 25 years of being crime-free—until a missing Dupahiya (motorbike) turns everything upside down. Purchased as a wedding gift, the bike’s disappearance sparks a frantic search, involving the bride’s family and even her ex-lover, setting off a chain of chaotic and humorous events.
Speaking about the series, Gajraj Rao, who plays Banwari Jha, described it as a mix of humor and emotions, portraying a father’s struggle to ensure his daughter’s happiness. Renuka Shahane, who plays Pushplata, the village sarpanch, called it a unique experience. She said, "Pushplata, my character, is unlike anything I’ve done before. As the strong-willed, endearing sarpanch of Dhadakpur, the role has allowed me to explore and expand my skills as an actor. Working alongside Sonam Nair and an exceptional cast was an incredibly fulfilling experience – and it shines through in every frame of the series. Dupahiya is a wonderful heartland comedy that showcases hopes, dreams and aspirations of small-town India, and I am looking forward to sharing this series with Prime Video’s audiences in India and across the world on March 7." while Shivani Raghuvanshi, as the bride Roshni Jha, highlighted the fun and challenges of bringing her character to life.
The series also marks a shift for Sparsh Shrivastava, who plays Bhugol, an aspiring influencer, and Bhuvan Arora, who takes on a role that relies more on silent expressions than dialogue.
With its mix of humor, drama, and small-town quirks, Dupahiya promises an entertaining watch.
