From this narrative which employs themes of power, loyalty, and resilience in a secluded mountain village, the actor Yoo Hae Jin plays the village chief of Gwangcheonggol, who lives in a distant community of mountains and vales. Park Ji Hoon is the young king, who lost his throne not so long ago and lives in a remote village. Yoo Ji Tae plays the powerful figure of the time, adding complexity to the plot and its tension.
