Will Avenge Pahalgam, Final Nail in Terror's Coffin: Yogi Adityanath's Tough Talk After J&K Massacre
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack, vowing decisive action and retribution for the death of Shubham Dwivedi, a Kanpur businessman killed in the attack
NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday strongly condemned the deadly attack on tourists in Pahalgam, calling it a cowardly and heinous act of terrorism that India will not forget.
CM Yogi met with the family of Shubham Dwivedi, a 31-year-old businessman from Kanpur who was among the 28 victims killed in the attack.
Shubham had married just two months ago, on February 12, and was gunned down in front of his wife during the massacre at Baisaran meadow near the Kashmir resort town.

Calling the attack “heinous and cowardly,” Yogi Adityanath said there will be zero tolerance for terrorism and assured that the government will act decisively.
"India will avenge the deaths. The country will never forget this attack," he said.

Referring to the Centre’s move to suspend the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan, CM Yogi said:
"This is the beginning of the final war against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. The days to come will deliver a response that will be the final nail in their coffin."
"This government knows its responsibilities. We are not the kind of government that withdraws cases against terrorists or indulges in vote-bank politics. We will crush terrorism in a way that everyone will see and remember. The results will be evident soon."
'Punish them so terrorists fear for seven generations'
Sanjay Dwivedi, the father of Shubham, expressed deep anguish, calling for a response so strong that it leaves a lasting message.
"These lowly terrorists dared to challenge the Indian government and walked away unpunished," he said. "One of them told my daughter-in-law that he was sparing her just to deliver a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
Demanding justice for his son, he added, "The government must take such stern action that terrorists are terrified to even think of harming anyone — not just now, but for the next seven generations."
