Gorakhpur: Girls emerged as top performers in the Class 10 and 12 UP Board examination in Gorakhpur with a pass percentage of 91.17% in Class 10 and 84.07% in Class 12. The results were declared on Friday.
Umme Kulsum Fatma of Saraswati Vidya Mandir Balika Inter College and Ananya Modanwal of Kamla Singh Inter College, Sahjanwa jointly topped in the district with 569 out of 600 marks (94.83%).
Anya Jaiswal from Bharatiya Inter College, Tiha Muhammadpur, bagged the second position with 567 marks, while Akriti of Patel Smarak Inter College, Bhathat, and Anshika Yadav from RAS Public School, Qazipur Doharia Bazar, shared the third spot with 565 marks (94.17%) in Class X. Notably, all top five scorers in Class 10 are girls.
In Class 12, Harshita Dubey from Ramsakhi Ramniwas Balika Inter College, Bharauli, topped the district with 91.40%, followed by Apoorva Tripathi and Alok Nishad with 90.80% at second spit and third position shared by Shreya Pandey and Anurag Kumar with 90.60%.
This year, 69,229 students took Class 10 and 74,437 students Class 12 exams. tnn
