The action film had a strong start, earning Rs 9.5 crore on its opening day, followed by a surge in collections over the weekend. However, the box office performance dropped significantly in the second week, with a week 2 total of Rs 19.04 crore, a decline of 69.12% from the first week.

The film’s performance during its first week was impressive, accumulating Rs 61.65 crore, driven largely by weekend collections. However, in its second week, Jaat saw a significant dip, with day-by-day drops in earnings. On Day 16, the film earned Rs 17 lakhs, reflecting a continued but steady drop. The film’s occupancy for Day 16 was recorded at 4.82%, with Mumbai and NCR showing higher engagement than other regions, although the film continues to face stiff competition from other releases.

Thaman S’s background score heightens the drama effectively, and the cinematography offers a gritty, lived-in aesthetic. Action sequences, while often overindulgent, are slick and impactful. The dialogues, penned by Saurabh Gupta and Sai Madhav Burra, are over-the-top and theatrical—often more memorable than the scenes themselves. However, narrative pacing becomes a significant issue post-interval. The second half drags, and the film’s 153-minute runtime begins to weigh heavily. A forced item number featuring Urvashi Rautela feels unnecessary and only adds to the film’s bloated feel.”
