Jenna Ortega’s dark and mysterious portrayal of Wednesday Addams takes a hilarious turn in the teaser for Wednesday Season Two. In the clip, she struggles through airport security, unloading a collection of weapons, including a taser, flail, mace, and multiple knives. However, it's the non-travel-sized sunscreen that causes trouble. Surprisingly, it's not even hers. Thing just wants to protect its scarred hand. The highly anticipated OTT series will return in two parts, with the first releasing on August 3 and the second on September 3, as Wednesday heads back to Nevermore Academy after a long break.
Wednesday's return to Nevermore academy
Wednesday Addams' decision to return to Nevermore Academy is a surprising one, as her mother, Morticia, points out, she’s never gone back to a school voluntarily. However, Wednesday has some unfinished business there. When asked about her return, she describes it as “like returning to the scene of the crime,” adding that she knows “where all the bodies are buried.” At the end of Season 1, showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar stated to OTT that not all loose ends were tied up and teased that Wednesday is eager to dive into a new mystery.
New faces and special appearances in Wednesday Season 2
The Wednesday Season 2 trailer introduces the return of Wednesday's roommate, Enid Sinclair (played by Emma Myers), and the debut of
Steve Buscemi as a new series regular. Last year, Buscemi joined the cast alongside Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. Additionally, Lady Gaga will make a special appearance in the season, following the viral success of her song “Bloody Mary” from Born This Way, which became the soundtrack to a popular trend when Season 1 premiered.
