Aamir Khan sends best wishes to Salman Khan for the Eid release of 'Sikandar', praises 'Ghajini’ director AR Murugadoss: “Maza aayega hum logon ko”

Bollywood enthusiasts have much to anticipate this Eid, as Salman Khan is set to release his latest film, 'Sikandar.'. The movie, directed by AR Murugadoss, marks the first collaboration between the actor and the acclaimed filmmaker. Adding to the excitement, Aamir Khan has extended his best wishes to Salman for the film's success and expressed his eagerness to witness this unique partnership.
On 13 March 2025, Aamir Khan spoke to the media before his 60th birthday celebrations. He took a moment to send his best wishes to Salman for 'Sikandar.' He said, "Salman, best wishes for 'Sikandar.'"
Aamir also mentioned how the film’s release on Eid makes it even more special. He said people are eagerly waiting for it and wished Salman good luck. Speaking about AR Murugadoss, Aamir shared, "Murugadoss is the director; jinke saath maine 'Ghajini' ki thi. Woh bahut hi kamaal ke director hain. Toh Murugadoss aur Salman ka combination dekhne mein maza aayega hum logon ko." He ended by saying, "So all the very best."

'Sikandar' stars Salman Khan alongside Rashmika Mandanna, making it their first film together. The cast also includes Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi. The movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Two songs from 'Sikandar' have already been released. ‘Zohra Jabeen’ is a lively Eid dance number featuring Salman and Rashmika, while ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ is a Holi anthem. Both songs have received positive responses and added to the excitement for the film.

During the media interaction, Aamir also confirmed that work on 'Andaz Apna Apna 2' has started. He and Salman are eager to team up again for the sequel of the 1994 comedy. The original film, starring Aamir, Salman, Raveena Tandon, and Karisma Kapoor, did not do well at the box office when it was first released, but it later became a cult classic. Aamir said, "We would all want 'Andaz Apna Apna 2'. We have told Raj ji (director Rajkumar Santoshi) to work on the script. As soon as his script is ready, Salman and I would definitely want to work on it. I think the audience would love to watch 'Andaz Apna Apna 2'... Raj ji is working on the script."
