Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara' has completed 25 days in the Hindi version gloriously and has been continuing its golden run without interruption or dip in the collections and has outperformed all the Bollywood films that hit the theatres last week. After 'KGF: Chapter 2', 'Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana' and '777 Charlie', 'Kantara' is the next big offering from the Kannada film industry to have attracted the attention of the whole Indian audience and went on to become a sensation everywhere.
'Kantara' was released on September 30 in Kannada.
After a very slow start in the Kannada version, the film picked up collections thanks to wholehearted appreciation and strong word-of-mouth received, the film was dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam making it a Pan India craze.
According to the trade reports, 'Kantara' earned Rs 2 crore on November 7 in Hindi. The collection is higher than what 'Mili', 'Double XL' and 'Phone Bhoot' earned. 'Kantara' is an action drama written, directed and acted by Rishab Shetty. The film courted a lot of controversies. However, they haven't affected the film's performance at the box office. Kantara also features Achyuth Kumar, Kishore, Sapthami Gowda and Pramod Shetty in pivotal roles.
