Mohanlal and Shobana shine in ‘Thudarum’ new poster

The new poster of Tharun Moorthy’s much-anticipated film ‘Thudarum’, starring Mohanlal and Shobana has been unveiled.

The heartwarming poster captures a family moment, with Mohanlal’s character cutting a jackfruit surrounded by his children, while Shobana sits beside him. The visual is themed around MG Sreekumar’s song Kanmanipoove, hinting at the film’s nostalgic and emotional tone.

Director Tharun Moorthy shared the latest poster with a caption that read, “നമ്മുടെയൊക്കെ വീട്ടിലുണ്ട് ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരാൾ,” which translates to English as, “We all have someone like this at our homes.” The caption indicates that Mohanlal will be playing a character who is relatable to all of us.
According to reports, Mohanlal plays an ordinary taxi driver in this family drama, co-written by Tharun Moorthy and KR Sunil. Thudarum is particularly special for Malayalam cinema lovers as it brings back the beloved Mohanlal-Shobana pairing after their last full-fledged collaboration in Mambazhakkalam (2004). The duo also shared screen space in ‘Sagar Alias Jacky’ (2009).
Adding to the excitement, the film revives the iconic Mohanlal-M.G. Sreekumar musical combination. The first song from Thudarum is set to release on February 21, and its promo has already been shared by the makers on social media, generating anticipation among fans.

With a blend of nostalgia, family emotions, and musical magic, ‘Thudarum’ promises to be a heartwarming drama with some thrilling elements. ‘Thudarum’ and Mohanlal’s upcoming film ‘L2: Empuraan’ are expected to give the superstar a magnificent comeback after a series of underwhelming films.
