Musical legend Zakir Hussain's demise has indeed left a void in the musical world and several celebrities are sharing tributes for the legend who breathed his last on Monday at a hospital in San Francisco, United States. Mollywood actor Mohanlal shared a heart-warming Tweet, mourning the demise of the legendary musician.

Sharing a picture of Ustad Zakir Hussain, the ‘Barroz’ actor penned a note saying that his loss has left an irreplaceable void in the world of music. Mohanlal’s Tweet read, “Ustad Zakir Hussain’s passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the world of music. His rhythms united hearts across borders. My deepest condolences to his family and admirers.”

The Tweet was soon flooded with comments. One comment read, “Deeply saddened by the loss of Zahir Hussain. Heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.” Another comment read, “Om Shanti.”

Meanwhile, the Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan has also shared a Tweet that read, “"A genius...an unmatched maestro...an immeasurable loss...Zakir Hussain...has left us."
AR Rahman shared a Tweet that read, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. Zakir Bhai was an inspiration, a towering personality who elevated the
tabla to global acclaim. His loss is immeasurable for all of us. I regret not being able to collaborate with him as much as we did decades ago, though we had planned an album together. You shall be truly missed. May his family and his countless students worldwide find the strength to bear this immense loss .”
Ricky Kej wrote, “Very pained to know about the sad demise of Ustad Zakir HussShocked, deeply saddened and devastated by the passing-on of the legend Ustad Zakir Hussain.
