Director Srikantha Odela who is known for his raw and rustic style of filmmaking is gearing up for the release of the second film with Natural Star
Nani titled, 'The Paradise'. During a recent interview, Nani called the upcoming film to be "India's 'Mad Max'".
During an interview Variety shared that the film's central message is that leadership is not about identity but about courage and conviction. "This time, we are not blurring or masking societal taboos. As a filmmaker, I am committed to presenting the film in its rawest form. 'The Paradise' will stand as one of the most authentic, original and unapologetically honest Indian films, carrying immense potential and relevance to resonate with a global audience," he said.
The film set in 1980's Secunderabad will explore societal prejudice and oppression. It tells the story of a marginalized tribe that has been stripped of its rights. The community finds hope in an unlikely leader, described as a rebellious figure, who guides them in their fight for citizenship and recognition within a system designed to keep them suppressed.
The film features Nani and
Sonali Kulkarni in the leading roles. The film's music is composed by
Anirudh Ravichander, known for his energetic and impactful scores.
After the teaser release, Nani's drastic transformation into his character has been widely praised, with his braided hairstyle being a major talking point. While speaking with Deccan Chronicle, Srikanth Odela shared that his mother used to braid his hair during his childhood, a style he maintained until he was in the fifth grade.
For the role, Nani underwent rigorous physical training to achieve a muscular build. He spent months at the gym and even trained in karate.
'The Paradise' is scheduled for release on March 26, 2026.
