Jr NTR has joined hands with Prashanth Neel, the star of KGF and Salaar, for their upcoming film, tentatively titled NTRNEEL. The film is currently in the early production stage, and the latest reports suggest Shruti Haasan will be a part of it.
As per a report by 123Telugu, Shruti Haasan is expected to be seen in the upcoming action thriller reuniting with Prashanth Neel right after their last film 'Salaar' and sharing screen with his 'Ramayya Vasthavayya' co-star Jr NTR.
The reports suggest that Shruti Haasan is set to make a special appearance in the film. While Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth is expected to be the female lead, Shruti Haasan will reportedly feature in a cameo for a central song sequence.

This also makes a rare move for director Prashanth Neel, who typically avoids item numbers in his films. However, the inclusion of Shruti's song is said to be a key moment that helps establish Jr NTR’s character in the story. It’s important to note that this news remains unconfirmed by the makers, and an official announcement is still awaited.

Speaking of the film's other cast members, it is rumoured to include Malayalam actors Tovino Thomas and Biju Menon. The shoot began with a grand action sequence in Karnataka, and Jr NTR is expected to continue filming nonstop through May 2025. Music for the film will be composed by Ravi Basrur, known for his work on the 'KGF' franchise.
The movie tentatively titled 'NTRNEEL' is rumoured to be officially called 'Dragon'. Interestingly, filmmaker SS Rajamouli accidentally referred to the film as 'Dragon' during a public event, which led to more speculation about the movie’s title. The production team has not officially confirmed the title.
On the work front, Jr NTR has officially joined the sets after wrapping up his Bollywood debut 'War 2' with Hrithik Roshan. He is also speculated to work on a project with filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar.
