Patanjali’s Mega Food and Herbal Park in MIHAN, Nagpur, is poised to become Asia’s largest orange processing plant. Acharya Balkrishna highlighted its potential to transform farmers' livelihoods, processing 800 tons of oranges daily, including lower-grade produce. The facility focuses on zero wastage and local employment, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s skill development vision.

Patanjali’s Mega Food and Herbal Park, established in MIHAN, Nagpur, is set to become Asia’s largest orange processing plant. Acharya Balkrishna announced in a conference in Nagpur and called the city the land of spirituality and revolution. He also emphasised that through Patanjali’s agricultural revolution, the initiative wishes to open new avenues of prosperity for farmers across the nation.
Acharya Balkrishna also remarked that the plant will be a single-point food processing unit and one of Asia’s largest facilities. He also talked about the hurdles the plant faced, especially in the face of COVID pandemic, but now there will be uninterrupted support for the region and the farmers.
The grand inauguration of the plant will be on Sunday, March 9, in the presence of Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways, and Shipping, Shri Nitin Gadkari, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis.

Referring to Vidarbha’s history of farmer distress, Acharya Balkrishna spoke confidently that the food processing plant would change the story and that the farmers will receive direct benefits. He also asked for everyone’s support in making the initiative successful. Acharya Balkrishna also reiterated his commitment to changing the agricultural sector and uplifting farmers, ensuring their economic security.

According to reports, the processing capacity of the plant is 800 tons per day, and it will not just handle A-grade oranges but also process B and C-grade oranges, pre-mature produce, and fruits damaged by storms.
The plant is also equipped with zero-wastage system, which will make sure that the by-products are utilised and nothing is scrapped off or goes to waste.
In regions across India, Patanjali has actively engaged with local farmers and rural communities, ensuring that almost every village has some form of participation in this initiative. The priority remains employment generation for locals and improving the economic conditions of farmers.
Aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of skill development, Patanjali has taken a lead in running skill-training programs to develop a skilled workforce in the country.

Products on the list


Based on raw material availability, the plant is expected to produce organic juices of orange, lime, amla, guava, grapes, and more. And will also be the processing unit for pulps, pastes, and other herbal products.
