After regretting divorce from wife Melinda, Bill Gates talks about girlfriend Paula Hurd and revels why he likes her

Microsoft co-founder-billionaire-philanthropist Bill Gates is much in the news lately. Roughly four years after his divorce from Melinda French, Bill Gates recently told The Times of London that he regretted his decision. However, Gates has moved on from the past as he is dating philanthropist Paula Hurd. And in a new interview, Gates has opened up about his relationship with girlfriend Paula Hurd for the very first time.
Talking about Paula and his relationship, Gates told the Today Show in an interview on Tuesday, “I’m lucky to have a serious girlfriend named Paula. We’re having fun. Going to the Olympics and lots of great things.”
While this is the first time that Gates publicly spoke about Paula Hurd, the duo have often been spotted together at several events. Bill Gates and Paula Hurd were seen at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's grand pre-wedding celebration in Jamnagar, Gujarat in 2024 too among other high-profile guests. Apart from this, Gates and Hurd have a common interest in tennis and they are often seen at these events, as per reports.
What went wrong between Bill Gates and Melinda French
Bill Gates and Melinda French were married for 27 years and they have three children together. No wonder then that their divorce announcement in 2021 came as a shock to many. Reports suggest that Gates' alleged affair with a Microsoft employee and his closeness to Joseph Epstein were some of the reasons that led to their divorce.
“The divorce wasn't great. Having those three kids, the work we were able to do together — even if I knew that it wouldn't last forever, I would still do it again,” he had told The Times of London in the interview.
However, since then both Bill Gates and Melinda French have moved on in life as they are now dating other people. While Bill Gates is dating Paula Hurd, Melinda French is dating entrepreneur Philip Vaughn.
Who is Paula Hurd?

Paula Hurd (also known as Paula Kalupa-- her maiden name) was earlier married to Oracle CEO- Mark Hurd, until his untimely death in 2019. Paula and Mark were married for 30 years and they have two daughters together. Paula Hurd, 62, is a philanthropist and she is known for her work in the fields of education and health care.
