‘Chalo Jao Mela Khatam’ … and other viral memes as Pakistan vs Bangladesh match in ICC Champions Trophy washed out

“Most useless things”, “Champions Trophy Mein 1 point Mil Gaya Ji”,“The match no one asked for” and more humorous memes have flooded social media as both teams, the host nation Pakistan as well as Bangladesh were knocked out of the Champions Trophy 2025 tournament without securing a single victory.
The last match between the two sides scheduled for today (February 27) at Rawalpindi was washed out due to heavy rain. With the points split, host Pakistan ended its ICC Champions Trophy journey at the bottom of the points table. Despite Bangladesh and Pakistan both having negative run rates, -0.443 and -1.087, respectively, the former ended up above the latter in the table.
From playful jabs like "Hosting an ICC event after 29 years and finishing at the bottom" to despairing cries of "Mainu Vida Karo..," social media platforms including Instagram and Twitter (earlier X) erupted with memes capturing the collective disappointment of fans.
This early exit is particularly sad for Pakistan cricket fans, as the country is hosting an international cricket tournament after nearly three decades, adding another layer to the online mockery.
