Elon Musk found himself at the center of controversy after Ashley St. Clair went public with claims that she had given birth to his 13th child. The announcement, made on February 14, came after the influencer revealed that Musk had asked her to keep the pregnancy a secret and even kept his name off the child's birth certificate.
St. Clair, who took to Musk’s social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to make her bombshell revelation, hinted that her decision to go public was due to tabloid media already prying into her private life. In the same post, she asked for privacy for her child. But it seems like there was more to the reason on St Clair going public with the news.
However, according to Kylie Kremer, director of the MAGA group Women for America First, St. Clair's decision to make the announcement was fueled by being "ghosted" by Musk on Valentine’s Day.
Notably, on the same day, Musk was photographed with Shivon Zilis, the mother of three of his children, attending a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the United States.
Kremer speculated on X that St. Clair was "emotional and hurt" on Valentine’s Day, and that her announcement was a way to garner sympathy as a "victim" of Musk’s power and wealth.
“It was an open secret but it wasn’t any of our business at that point… no one knew they didn’t have some sort of contract and were still in negotiations, or at least I didn’t. Seems like she wasn’t getting what she wanted, was emotional & hurt on Valentine’s Day & decided to parade her crazy on the front porch thinking people would be sympathetic to her as a “victim” of a powerful, wealthy man,” she said in a post.
In another post, she wrote “This isn’t about the child… No one cares about if they had a baby out of wedlock. Maybe some do, but that is the part that I believe not to be our business. The baby is innocent in all of this. The issue is how this all came about & the clear ulterior motives Ashley had/has.”
St Clair's deleted post goes viral
Meanwhile, a now-deleted tweet by Clair is doing rounds on the internet. In the post, she expressed frustration over Musk's failure to respond to her attempts to reach out, saying, "Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days and you have not responded.”
She further criticized Musk for damaging her reputation by engaging with a post, stating, “When are you going to reply to us instead of publicly responding to smears from an individual who just posted photos of me in underwear at 15 years old?”.
