Akshit Sukhija on joining the show Piyaa Abhimaani: My character here is more manly and not boyish like my previous shows

Actor Akshit Sukhija is gearing up for his next TV show - Piyaa Abhimaani. He will be seen playing the lead character Agastya. The actor, who was last seen in the show Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan, is looking forward to his new role which is very different from what he has done so far.
He says, "I am glad that there is something new that I will be trying with this new show.I am sure that every actor wants to do something new each time they take up a project in any medium, and it is the same with me. Here my character is more manly compared to my past roles, which were boyish and I am happy about it. Also there is an arrogant side to my character and he says some things that people dislike. But there is a reason which one will only understand when they watch the show. My character is actually not negative at all."
Akshit says he enjoys playing negative roles. "Whenever we do roles which are negative, the audiences react to them. My last role in Fanaa was negative and that is the only one time I have played a negative role, but the audience reacted to it a lot. They reached out and told me what they felt. So I personally enjoy doing such roles because there's a lot I can do as an actor. Apart from that, I also wish to play an action-oriented role, that's something I haven't done yet," he shares.
