Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan to join host Amitabh Bachchan for a special episode

Bollywood stars Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan are set to face off in the quiz-based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, promoting their upcoming film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Kartik, reprising his role as Rooh Baba, will appear in a suit, while Vidya, who played the iconic Manjulika in the first installment, will grace the show in a saree. However, actress Triptii Dimri gave a miss to the appearance on the show.
The actors were spotted on the sets on October 15 as they shot with host Amitabh Bachchan for the special episode. Kartik Aaryan shared a selfie with Big B from the sets of KBC 16 and the trio were seen flashing their million dollar smiles.
Kartik Aaryan, who portrays Rooh Baba in the film, took to Instagram to share a picture of the trio. He captioned the post, "Rooh Baba x Manjulika x Bhootnath (sic)," playfully referencing his own character, Vidya Balan’s iconic role as Manjulika, and giving a nod to Amitabh Bachchan’s portrayal of the ghost Bhootnath from his film series.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is the latest installment in the popular horror-comedy franchise, originally headlined by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. The series is a Hindi remake of the Malayalam classic Manichitrathazhu, directed by Fazil, the father of Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faasil. Kartik Aaryan took over the reins from Akshay Kumar in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, playing the character of Rooh Baba, and continues the legacy in this new chapter. In Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik Aaryan shared the screen with Kiara Advani's character, but in the third installment, he will be starring opposite Animal star Triptii Dimri. The film also features Bollywood icons Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit in key roles.


Recently, the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati were filled with joy and celebration as the audience and special guests gathered to honor Amitabh Bachchan on his 82nd birthday. To make the episode a star-studded affair and surprise host Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood's Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan and his son Junaid arrived on the show and it was a spectacular episode where Big B revealed many interesting anecdotes from his life.
